Premium living,on autopilot.

We designed Svasa Living OS, the app that runs a Svasa home end to end: from the gate, to maintenance, to the clubhouse. One calm system for owners, security and the people who manage the community.

The brief

A rare kind of luxury deserves a quiet kind of technology.

Svasa builds homes around heritage, craft and community in the heart of Basavanagudi. The people who live there run companies, families and full calendars. Their home should not add to the list. Svasa asked us to design the system that makes the building take care of itself, so residents only step in when it matters.

“True luxury is having the privilege or mindspace to do what you want in life.”Svasa Homes, svasahomes.com

  • The intercom callEvery visitor meant a call to the flat, and someone had to be home to answer.
  • The paper registerStaff, deliveries and guests lived in a book at the gate that nobody could search.
  • The bill in the boxMaintenance bills, notices and reminders arrived on paper or in a crowded group chat.
  • The clubhouse tabBar, bookings and payments sat apart from the home they belonged to.
Three people, one building

We designed for the owner, and for everyone who looks after them.

Automation only feels effortless when every side of it is designed. Each persona has a different job, a different device and a different minute to spare.

One system

Every tap travels. Gate, home and office stay in step.

An owner's answer reaches the gate in seconds. A guard's acknowledgement comes back to the owner. A notice from the office lands on every phone in the block. We designed the messages between them as carefully as the screens.

Owner appThe home

Approves visitors, schedules guests, clears cabs, manages family, staff and vehicles.

Checks people in and out, acknowledges passes, calls when the app is not answered.

Staff

Foroogh checks in. Nobody has to open the door.

The maid is recognised at the gate and the family gets a quiet note. Her month of check-ins builds itself, so attendance is never a debate.

Cab

The cab was cleared before it was even booked.

Four digits of the number plate and a time window. The guard lets it in until 12:30pm, no call needed.

Visitor

Someone nobody expected is at the gate.

The owner's phone rings like a call, with three clear answers: allow, deny, or leave it at the security desk.

Guest

Guests walk in like they live here.

Their pass was shared this morning, security acknowledged it at 9:20am, and the parking spot is waiting in Basement 23.

Security

When the app is not answered, the gate still is.

A missed call from security turns into a clear card: who is waiting, where, and a single button to call back.

Clubhouse & maintenance

Dinner at the clubhouse, settled. Tomorrow's water cut, known.

Bar spends come off the prepaid wallet, bills and receipts arrive from accounts, and block services announce maintenance before it happens.

Chapter one · The gate

Three answers. No intercom.

The gate was the moment that mattered most, so it got the boldest screen in the app. A visitor arrives as a full-screen call with their name, company and time, and the owner answers with one thumb.

  • AllowThe guard is told in seconds and the visit is logged with who approved it.
  • Leave at security deskCouriers and parcels wait at the desk, so nobody has to come down.
  • DenyMarketing calls and vendors that are not wanted stay outside, and the log says so.
  • One button for everything elseGuest, staff, delivery, kids, cab, contact the guard, or raise an emergency.
Try it: answer the visitor on the phone
Chapter two · Guests

Invite once. The building remembers.

A guest is scheduled with a name, a time and where to meet. The app turns it into a pass with a code and a QR, tells security, and tracks the visit from invite to check-out.

1ScheduleName, phone, time, meeting point, guests and car
2Pass and proofCode 56674, QR, and security's acknowledgement
3Cabs, cleared aheadFour digits and a time window
Chapter three · Staff

The people who keep a home running, treated with the same care.

Maids, drivers and instructors are part of daily life in a Bengaluru home. Each gets a profile with attendance, passes for exactly the places they need, and a record of what they carry out of the gate.

  • Attendance that writes itselfEvery check-in and check-out at the gate, by day and by month.
  • Passes with boundariesTemporary or permanent, with dates and access points like the Lobby or the Yoga Studio.
  • Takeaways, on recordA Diwali gift or cash given to staff is logged with a photo, so the gate never has to ask.

Chapter four · Family

Everyone who belongs, and everything that comes home.

Family members, their relationships and their permissions. Vehicles with their number plates, so the boom barrier knows them. Kids leaving the gate raise a gentle alert, and deliveries can be expected before they arrive.

  • Family with permissionsPrimary access, active or inactive, and app permissions per person.
  • Vehicles on fileBMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA, plates and all.
  • Kids exit alertsA scheduled window, and a note when they step out.
Chapter five · Maintenance & clubhouse

From the water tank to the infinity pool.

The same app that guards the gate also runs the life of the building. Bills, receipts and reminders from accounts. Notices from block services. Bar spends and bookings at the clubhouse. All in one feed, in the order they matter.

The refresh

The concept held up. We gave it the Svasa finish.

The original flows were designed a few years ago and every screen still had a clear job. For this showcase we kept each screen's purpose, content and order, and refined the look to match the warmth of the homes. Drag to compare.

WelcomeSame greeting and unit, now in the Svasa leaf and serif
Visitor at the gateSame three answers, clearer and calmer
NotificationsSame senders and messages, grouped by meaning
01Every screen keeps its jobNothing was added or removed for show. The refresh changes how it feels, not what it does.
02Warm, not technicalIvory, teak gold and a serif voice, borrowed from the homes themselves.
03One thumb, one answerThe moments that interrupt life get the biggest, simplest controls.
04Calm by defaultQuiet notes for routine events, a call only when someone is waiting.
